Steve McNeill Farms, located at 5948 Lemon Springs Rd. in Sanford, NC specializes in greenhouse tomatoes as well as disease-free strawberry plant propagation--the only business in the area who does this. Steve grows some of our earliest tomatoes, in a 3,000 square ft greenhouse. While a tobacco/soybean farmer also, Steve finds himself cutting back on tobacco and increasing vegetable production. The roadside stand is open during strawberry season, so stock up if you're in the area, along with other early-season crops such as broccoli, cabbage, green onions and green beans.
