The hydroponic greenhouse operation was the idea of Roderick McMillan, but it’s a full-time family operation with his brother, father, two sisters and his mother, Christina. They work daily on their farm in Maxton, NC to produce between 7,000 to 10,000 heads of lettuce a week for the Moore County Farmers Market, the Sandhills Farm to Table CSA, other CSAs, and local restaurants. Though the formal name of the company is McMillan Greater Grown Greens they gave it the moniker of MG3.
